2023 U.S. Solo Dance Finals by Julia Wensley
My identify is Julia Wensley and I shall be competing at my second nationwide solo dance finals in preliminary sample dance! I’m from Saint Louis, Missouri, and I’m a part of creve coeur determine skating membership, and my ice dance coaches are Ashley Klotz and Daniel Klaber. Friday morning was the day earlier than my occasion. Within the morning me and my household had breakfast at our lodge. Then we went to a playground that was actually enjoyable, and my mother bought her skates sharpened. After that we picked up lunch at a Mexican restaurant, after which we went to the rink.
On the rink, I watched my buddy Ella compete in preliminary shadow dance. After watching Ella, I had apply ice, the place I labored on my dances with coach Ashley. After apply, I bought to look at the senior rhythm dance, the place I noticed a bunch of fantastic skaters! Within the afternoon we went to historic Wagner farm. We bought to pet the cows there, and all of the animals have been so cute!
Then, we went again to the lodge, and I did some homework. My buddy Rebekah and our coach came visiting to our lodge and we had dinner collectively. At the moment was the day of my occasion, I used to be very excited to compete. I ate breakfast at my Hoyt after which went to the rink for apply ice. Throughout apply, I felt very assured in my dances and felt able to compete! After apply me, Rebekah and our mothers went to my coaches lodge, the place she did our hair and make-up for the occasion.
Then we went again to the rink and warmed up for our occasion, earlier than we skated, me, Rebekah and my coach had a tiny dance celebration to Taylor swift songs. Then it was time to compete, I did fairly effectively in my canasta tango and scored a 23. After the canasta we bought lunch at subway.
After lunch, we bought able to compete our. Rhythm blues, which is my favourite dance. Earlier than competing we had one other mini dance celebration to Taylor swift songs. I did okay in my blues, however I ended getting off time, and I scored a 19. I ended up inserting fifteenth.
After the occasion my household went to a spot known as funtopia that had quite a lot of climbing partitions, which was actually enjoyable. Then, we went to get ice cream and went to a park.
Total this was a really enjoyable competitors, and I bought to see quite a lot of associates!
